My company’s long-time provider of insurance decided that they were no longer going to write commercial policies for my category. Not being overly concerned, I contacted four insurance brokers for replacement coverage 5 weeks before the expiration date. One failed to respond at all. Two had trouble placing the policy and came back to me with quotes for high premiums from non-admitted companies I had not heard of.
